What is the Math Placement Test? The Math Placement Test is MyMathTest from Pearson Publishing. The test includes tests of Intermediate Algebra skills, College Algebra skills and PreCalculus skills. You must achieve a score of 70% or better on the Intermediate Algebra test to take the College Algebra test. You must achieve a score of 70% or better on the College Algebra test to take the PreCalculus test. How long will the assessment take, and what materials will I need? Each test will take 30 – 60 minutes to complete. How many questions are on the tests? Each test has 25 – 30 questions. Once I answer a question, can I go back and change my answer? Unfortunately, once you submit an answer, you cannot change it. You should keep this in mind while testing. Is there a fee for taking this assessment? The Math Placement Test is free of charge. How many times can I take the Math Placement Test? You may take the test as many times as you like. There is also a training module to help you improve your score based on your skill gaps. How long are my Math Placement Test scores valid? Scores on the Math Placement Test are valid for 11 months.
