Students with Transfer Credit or Dual Credit
If you have already completed the prerequisite course at another institution (but your transfer credits have not yet been posted on MyZou) and you need to request a permission number to enroll in your upcoming Math course, please email an unofficial copy of your transcript to crewsae@missouri.edu or gilping@missouri.edu. Include your complete name, student id#, MU email address, and the information on which course you want to register for.
Make sure you have an official transcript sent directly to Admissions Office, 230 Jesse Hall, Columbia, MO 65211.
All students who plan to take a Math course numbered 1500 or below should
take the ALEKS assessment, even if you have satisfied the prerequisites through transfer credit, dual credit, AP or IB credit. Your ALEKS assessment score is an indication of your preparedness for the math course you wish to take. If your score does not satisfy the prerequisite for the course you plan to take, you are advised to retake a lowerlevel math course, or remediate and review materials from your prior course.
Students with AP Credit
Students receiving Advanced Placement (AP) Credit will be placed as follows:
AP Calculus BC Exam score of 3 or higher:
